Student Photographic Competition 2026

Entry form

The competition is open to students studying in Year 3 to Year 12 at Australian schools or colleges, or undertaking home study in Australia. Individual entries will be accepted.

Use this online form to enter. It must be received by the organisers before 5pm AEST on Friday 28 August 2026. To avoid delays and congestion, submit your entry as early as possible.

All photographs must:

• have been taken by the entrant at the Australian National Botanic Gardens in Canberra in the 12 months before the competition closing date,
• feature some aspect of the Gardens, such as plants, wildlife, or scenery,
• not include a person who is recognisable from the image.

Declaration by the student

By submitting this form I accept these conditions of entry:

• The Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) and the Friends of the ANBG will have the right to use any photograph in newsletters, websites and/or promotional material. All published images will be credited.
• The Friends of the ANBG may retain possession of any prints exhibited in the competition.
• The judges' decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By submitting this form I declare that:

• The photographs I am entering were taken by me at the ANBG in Canberra in the 12 months before 28 August 2026.
• I have respected the restrictions of the ANBG as set out in the Visitor Code.
• There are no recognisable people in my photos.
